Imagine a world where academics and professionals team up with NGOs to improve people’s lives. And there is more: imagine they do it for free. That is the world TheGoodLobby is trying to unleash.

TheGoodLobby is a new project undertaken by eLabEurope, a civic start up lobbying in the public interest.

In a sentence, TheGoodLobby promotes bottom-up, “networked-volunteerism” among different groups of professionals and academics. Networks of individuals pool their talents and skills and use them to lobby for the public good.

For example, this might mean a law professor and her students teaming up with advertising experts to help an NGO promote better environmental protection, or a graphic designer teaming up with a behavioural scientist to help an NGO to encourage healthy eating.

To help us make our vision a reality, we have applied for start-up funding (€50,000) via the 2015 Advocate-Europe Idea Challenge. But we need your votes to win!
