Welcome on the Facebook page of ImmunOvar !
ImmunOvar represents our research group on ovarian cancer immunotherapy at the KU Leuven, Belgium. We focus mainly on the development of combined immunotherapy in this aggressive form of cancer. In parallel we study the changes of the immune system in ovarian cancer patients in order to shed light on the natural occurring immune suppressive mechanisms and what cell type is most dominant at what time point. The combination of these two research domains will enlarge our knowledge on the human immune system in ovarian cancer and will teach us how to influence it to ameliorate the survival of patients.
