Energy Assistance is a charitable organization supported mainly by ENGIE employees. It provides electricity access to poor or disadvantaged communities worldwide. The ultimate goal is to favor sustainable development, education and health.
Energy Assistance (EA) was created in Belgium in 2001 by employees of Tractebel, Electrabel and Fabricom. Today, EA brings together volunteers (either retired and active employees) from the ENGIE Group and from the Belgian grid operators. The association performs worldwide charitable projects targeting communities having no access to essential energy services. It levers from the skills and knowledge of their members, along with their technical resources.
