Geschiedenis

Bleek wil zich opwerpen als een toevluchtsoord voor artistieke activiteiten. Bij Bleek worden illustratie, muziek, film, feest, dans, tekst, wetenschap,spel, filosofie, poëzie, schilderkunst, beeldhouwkunst, fotografie en grafiek in één adem genoemd.

Wij vertrouwen op onze bezoekers, onze buren, onze supporters en onze medemens om ons initiatief verder mogelijk te maken en te verheffen.

BLEEK is an art centre that wants to present itself as a haven and laboratory for artistic activities within a topical and therefore variable context.
By these means visual arts are mentioned in one breath with music, literature, film and celebration.
Through exhibitions, performances, concerts, lectures, films, debates, celebrations and publications BLEEK
will try to fill an insatiable need for culture.
The fact that art and culture determine society should need no reasoning. Still there are noticeable gaps within the current field that minimize the potential of art and critique.
BLEEK wants to offer a constructive response.
