We specialise in private tours of the Ypres Salient tailored to your individual requests. Not only can we visit the popular traditional sites we are also able to take you to areas which are less well known and so are more peaceful and tranquil for your acts of remembrance and reflection.
Tours can be planned relative to your nationality , for example we regulary run tours for Australian , New Zealand and Canadian guests as we follow the route their forefathers took as they fought their way across the Salient.
We can of course arrange specific cemetery visits to visit the graves of family members.

We spent a couple delightful days touring around Ypres with Roger at Ypres Battlefield Tours in May of this year 2022. Roger’s knowledge beyond the guidebooks and familiarity with the area added to our experience. There was a burial of a World War I soldier recently identified that Roger asked us if we wanted to attend the rededication ceremony. We did and were very glad Roger mentioned it. We would have never known of this event and enjoyed it very much. Other highlights included Tyne Cot Cemetery, the Passchendaele battlefield, Sanctuary Woods, Hill 60, Messines Ridge and the Bayernwald, to name a few. Earlier this year, Roger published "Sudentenfriedhof to Soldatenfriedhof" about the Langemark German Cemetery in the area. His depth of knowledge provided great insight into the interment of German soldiers at Langemark German Cemetery and the evolution of the cemetery's identity over the last century. Yes, we have a signed copy of the book. There are many layers of history and battles in the Ypres salient. Roger provided insight into the multiple layers. We plan to hire Roger again when we return to the area. My wife is not a WWI enthusiast and she enjoyed Rogers’s tour, because of Roger’s knowledge and information and is willing to return. We booked the full day tour and were not disappointed. Roger clearly has a lot of knowledge about the WW1 battles in this area. Roger is a brilliant tour guide. He has great knowledge about all the different memorials and battlefields in the Ypres salient. He takes you to all the famous locations and the day is very relaxed so you can take your time taking stuff in. I highly recommend doing a tour with him. This was an excellent tour, and Roger was a kind and patient guide. He is an excellent storyteller and he answers questions and at the same time, helps you see the human side of the battles and wartime events. We highly recommend taking this tour. The sites were selected to maximize our understanding of World War I and this part of the front in particular. This tour is a must when you come to Ypres. I admire how passionate and kind Roger is and I learned so much during the tour. We went to a lot of places and he really adapted the tour to what we wanted to see and I could never have a better opportunity to learn about this town and all the history than this. I really recommend looking into his book too on Amazon because I wanted to read it asap after the tour. Vertaald door Google Deze tour is een must als je naar Ieper komt. Roger was an excellent guide, he was punctual and is extremely knowledgeable about the area. A thoroughly enjoyable day. Highly recommended. Reading about these places is nothing compared to seeing them. Roger our guide was a constant source of information the morning he drove us to the battle sites. So many little details I walked or drove by without notice before our tour were now made obvious by our guide. It gave us a new appreciation of the battlefields as we drove through them on our way home. I couldn't think of a better guide as he obviously loves what he does. A really moving experience. Although I rated it 5 stars that isn't true as its not great but rather really sad but a reminder of the horrors of war.
