The Strasbourger publishes articles, videos, pictures that relate to various aspects of current events in the EU and within the single Member States. The articles that appear on the website are written by a number of inside or outside contributors, which makes the website a product of a combined effort.

There is no Mr. Strasbourger. The founders are three citizens of Europe with different political background.

The name embodies both the idealism and everything that is wrong about Europe. It is a symbol of historical reconciliation and European integration. And yet, by always referring to this symbolic city which is no longer symbolic, Europe betrays its tendency to look backwards instead of forwards.
