A SBLC is a commercial letter of credit that is taken as a guarantee by the buyer for payment of goods and services. It contains details of the transaction and the obligation to pay back on account of default of the client. The sellers might request SBLC from the client’s bank as a guarantee for smoother facilitating of transactions. Even though disputes might arise between the parties, the bank that provides the SBLC is obligated to honor the agreement and pay the amount due. The client must have a credit line that correlates with the amount in the SBLC which is typically frozen by the bank until the transaction is completed. An MT760 is when the issuing bank puts a hold on the client’s funds, blocking the client from using them. Some banks are not willing to issue MT760’s but if necessary, Swift Capital, partnered with several major global banks can issue you a SWIFT MT760 at your convenience.

SWIFT MT799 is used for a bank-to-bank Proof of Funds for which there is a $1 million minimum account size requirement criterion. MT999 allows bank-to-bank SWIFT electronic verification for Proof of Funds in the account.
