You’ve been to the usual networking events where you listen to presentations or make small talk while having a beer. You get exposed to interesting ideas, but it’s rare that you really get to know someone or learn a new skill.

Startup Weekend is the exact opposite. Over the course of a weekend, you pitch your ideas, come together in teams, and take your concepts as far as you can, with the goal of presenting a working prototype and validated business concept to your peers at the end of the weekend.

You’ll work closely with talented people, go through the ups and downs of turning an idea into a reality, and gain knowledge, friends, and valuable insight. Over 10% of Startup Weekend projects turn into companies that produce revenue or get seed funding.

You have 52 weekends a year. Use one of them to be a creator, not just a networker.
