St. Germain's School for Gifted Mimes was founded on August 11, 1914 in a large windmill on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium. The brain-child of two renowned Begian Performers, Adelbert Van de Velde and his wife, Gonda, they were dedicated to the creation of a conservatoire where students of all ages could study the practical art of the Exquisite Mime.
