Geschiedenis

SB OverSeas began as community effort between concerned citizens in Brussels who decided to intervene to the unfolding humanitarian crisis by bringing over necessities in bulk to be dispersed among children in need in Lebanon. As these efforts grew in involvement and impact, something became increasingly obvious. Providing a safe environment for children was a daily relief, but there was no long term hope for a generation of kids who had had their education interrupted by war and loss. It came to light that an entire generation of children were being marginalized by this, left on the sidelines of society unequipped with the skills or opportunities to take control of their lives again. Faced with a future of homelessness, illness and exploitation, education would be the best tool to break out of the cycle of victim hood, so SB OverSeas opened its first school in Lebanon where a big community of displaced persons had settled.
