The Original handcrafted Cuberdon, made according to a secret recipe from 1873. Recognized as traditional flemish regional product.
Geldhof, located in Eeklo (East Flanders province), has been producing true artisan cuberdons for more than 60 years, following the original secret recipe created in Ghent back in 1873. The traditional artisan sweets are a true delicacy and also have been officially recognized as a traditional Flemish regional product. Since this recognition the cuberdon has become a real trendsetter and one of the favorite sweets in Belgium. Geldhof also went international since these original cuberdons have become a craze well beyond the Belgian borders.
Cuberdons are dark red conical sweets. The colour tells you that – besides gum arabic – they are made from raspberries. The shape is reminiscent of a nose, which explains the popular name “neuzekes” (little noses). This typical Belgian confectionery has a pronounced sweet taste, and surprises with its hard exterior and smooth interior.
