Martin's Red fits within the context of an extensive campaign to promote sports in Belgium. The hotel is located on the site of the Tubize National Football Center, whose construction began in 2005.

Its sports facilities have been developed to provide a headquarters worthy of the name to the Red Devils (Belgium’s national football team), as well as to support Belgian football in general, including training. The Center will receive up to 75,000 people each year by 2018. It will also provide a multidisciplinary platform in the Tubize area for organising cultural gatherings, festivals, local sports competitions, etc.
