Elle opère dans les zones rurales du sud du Vietnam et du Cambodge .Les principes clés de Mekong Plus sont:-La participation des populations : rien ne se fait sans une forte participation des personnes concernées.-Priorité des plus pauvres-Actions à faible coût et reproductibles.Un programme majeur se concentre sur les plus pauvres qui vivent avec moins de 1 dollar par jour; avec la formation et le microcrédit , le soutien à l'éducation et à la santé, l'aide aux personnes pour un logement convenable, Mekong Plus travaille actuellement avec 4500 ménages au Vietnam et au Cambodge."
