iMAL = Contemporary Art Center + Media Lab in Brussels!

Geschiedenis

iMAL (interactive Media Art Laboratory) is a centre for digital culture dedicated to the meeting of artistic, scientific and industrial innovation - a nexus for contemporary artistic and cultural practice emerging from the fusion of computer, telecommunication, network and media. iMAL is an international meeting place for artists, scientists and creative people, ideally located in Brussels, capital of Europe.

iMAL is the unique integration of an Art Centre producing various public events (exhibitions, lectures, concerts, performances,...) with a MediaLab and a FabLab for creative people to research, experiment, share and exchange with and about new technologies for the arts.

Thanks to a support from the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 (ERDF) iMAL will soon double its infrastructure next to the Brussels Canal, allowing to create new exhibition and public spaces, a new enlarged FabLab and artist residencies facilities. iMAL plans to reopen in the autumn of 2018 as a European Center where art, science, technology, innovation and integration meet.
