Guy Pieters. In the art world, it is impossible not to overlook this name. The man himself is jovial and energetic, with a good sense of strategy and an infallible flair for discovering talent. It is this combination of characteristics that has enabled him to set up several art galleries in the past thirty years with his wife Linda at his side. Always the right man in the right place, it seems. So he has proceeded from Sint-Martens-Latem to Knokke, Saint-Paul de Vence and Paris. Recently he opened a new gallery in Knokke to house fascinating solo exhibitions as well as showing established works of art. This was perhaps the logical continuation of a career of thirty years that has been bound to the motto: ‘Looking for the unexpected is what gives life meaning’.
