Geschiedenis

The Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp is a vivid academic community of almost 2.500 students and more than 250 academic and administrative staff engaged in education, research and scientific services in law and safety sciences.
The Faculty offers programs leading to the degrees of bachelor of laws, master of laws (both in Dutch and in English), master of tax law and master in safety sciences. The Faculty guarantees the highest standards of education in Flanders. In addition, the Faculty has a wide offer of postacademic training for professionals.
Research is conducted in 5 research groups examining the relevance of law for person and property, business, government, development and law enforcement.
The Faculty actively engages in internationalisation in education, research and scientific services. As a result, the Faculty is ranked among the top 100 law faculties in the world (39 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings Law 2018; top 51-100 in the QS World University Rankings Law 2017).
