The European Schoolnet Academy is a professional development platform focusing on innovation in the school and classroom, offering free massive open online courses (MOOCs) for teachers in primary and secondary schools.

The courses offered on this platform are completely free of charge. They provide an introduction to key concepts and ideas that are relevant to developing innovative teaching practice and offer the opportunity to discuss these ideas and share experiences with peers. Concepts and ideas are illustrated through examples from everyday classroom practice. At the core of the courses stands the exchange between teaching practitioners and the creation of an online community of professionals who reflect on and exchange about the course topics.

The European Schoolnet Academy sits alongside European Schoolnet’s other projects, converting the content and expertise developed in these projects and activities, together with its Ministries of Education, into massive open online courses for teachers.
