EUROPE CARGO is an international freight forwarding company that was established in 1992 in Antwerp as a complete service-provider towards local companies being involved in shipping, logistics & transport. The founding of our company was a result of the desire to service the Belgian market and provide a better and faster service towards our customers.

Over the years EUROPE CARGO developed itself into a more all-round player in this industry on the international market where today we still gain more and more market share in our industry of shipping and transport.

However the philosophy remained the same as from day 1 where we still strongly believe in our distinctive capabilities, providing an all-round service to our clientele, based on being an effective and efficient team, working on a personal basis with our esteemed customers.

Vertaald door Google Ik heb in mei van dit jaar contact opgenomen met Europe Cargo om een ​​pallet met persoonlijke bezittingen te verzenden van van België naar Canada. Ik heb ze de afmetingen en de kubieke meter van de pallet gestuurd. Ze hebben me een offerte gestuurd met inbegrip van ALLE vergoedingen en kosten van België naar de eindbestemming in Canada, exclusief de douanekosten en de uiteindelijke verwerkings- en leveringskosten van het magazijn in Edmonton naar mijn huis. Ik heb de offerte geaccepteerd. de vervoerder kwam op het afhaaladres en als aperitief gooide hij de pallet recht voor het huis op de grond! Na 15' hard werken hebben we de pallet weer rechtop kunnen zetten met de hulp van enkele passerende mensen. Nog voordat de pallet op bestemming aankomt, hebben ze de offerte aangepast vanwege het verschil in gewicht, dat was nog eens 172 euro en dan nog eens 58 euro. als ik geen betalingsbewijs gaf, zouden ze de pallet niet vrijgeven. Dat is wat ze doen, ze houden uw zending als gijzelaar! De pallet komt aan in Montreal, dat 3500 km van de eindbestemming verwijderd is. Het bedrijf waarvan het verantwoordelijk is om de pallet van het schip te halen, het naar zijn magazijn te brengen en het op een vrachtwagen naar Edmonton te zetten, stuurt me een factuur van $ 397 CAN voor behandeling en verzending! Deze kosten zijn inbegrepen in de Europe Cargo factuur die ik heb ontvangen. Er wordt duidelijk vermeld dat de LCL-vergoedingen op de factuur van Europe Cargo staan. Toen ik contact heb opgenomen met het LCL-bedrijf in Montreal, hebben ze bevestigd dat deze kosten waren voor verzending en verwerking in de terminal van Montreal. Eindelijk heb ik de pallets ontvangen, de douanekosten en de terminalkosten van Edmonton ook betaald zoals het de eerste plaats was gepland. Ik heb talloze keren met Europe Cargo gecommuniceerd, tot Fred Konings, de algemeen directeur, maar voor hen allemaal en ook voor hem is er niets mis met deze verzending... Dus eigenlijk, wanneer u een verzending van punt A naar punt B plant, heeft u alle kosten betaald die met deze verzending gemoeid zijn, u laat Europe Cargo zien dat u TWEE KEER de LCL-vergoedingen en -kosten in Montreal voor deze verzending heeft betaald, ze blijven vertellen dat volgens hen alles er goed uitziet en dat ze me het juiste bedrag in rekening hebben gebracht. Origineel I have contacted Europe Cargo back in May of this year to ship a pallet with personal belongings from Belgium to Canada. I have send them the dimensions and the cubic metrage of the pallet. They have sent me a quote including ALL the the fees and charges from Belgium to the final destination in Canada excluding the customs fees and the final handling and delivery fees from the Edmonton warehouse to my house. I have accepted the quote. the carrier showed up at the pick-up address and as an appetizer, he tipped the pallet over on the ground right in front of the house ! After 15' of hard work, we were able to bring the pallet back upright with the help of some people that were passing by. Even before the pallet arrives at destination, they have adjusted the quote because of the difference of weight, which was another 172 euros and then another 58 euros. if I wasn't giving proof of payment, they wouldn't release the pallet. When I have contacted the LCL company in Montreal, they have confirmed that those fees were for shipping and handling in the Montreal terminal. Finally I have received the pallets, paid the custom fees and the Edmonton's terminal fees as wellas it was planned it the first place. I have communicated numerous times with Europe Cargo, up to Fred Konings, the general manager but for all of them and for him as well, there is nothing wrong with this shipping... So, basically, when you schedule a shipping from point A to point B, you have paid all the charges involved in this shipping, you show Europe Cargo that you have paid TWICE the LCL fees and charges in Montreal for this shipping, they keep telling you that according to them, everything looks good and they have charged me the right amount. I really have a hard time to understand people that are clearly denying the obvious ! I won't use their services ever again. Regards, Olivier.
