ElegantiquesofEurope: an Etsy store where to find "Old Things" for your decors. Moving items carefully selected by Ben at brocantes in France and at Brussels.

It all started very early: as far as I can remember I always showed interest in old items...

I was maybe 5 or 6 years old staring at some intriguing hand-painted roses that were adorning a very special and huge sugarpot. Early Victorian porcelain, it was once owned by my beloved Grandma's Mother...

Like these pretty roses, passion never faded away and years later I started buying antiques for myself. Later again, I decided that my house would be free of any modern design. Design that I admire but that dont make me dream as antiques do. Don't take me wrong: I'm not a nostalgic . I'm happy to be born in the 1980's. I'm interested in anything up to date: music, science, medicine, technologies, fashion,... anything, and I would surely never try to impose my "lifestyle" to anyone! But surrounded by my old furniture, my old fabric and my old household, I feel like a King! :-)

At a more modest scale, I humbly think that we should all consider using some "old things" in our living spaces.
