THE UNION is the only trade union created in the EEAS and work only for the benefit of the EEAS staff.

What THE UNION stands for is:

A constructive relationship between trade unions and management as we pursue common objectives for all categories of EEAS staff: improving our working conditions and professional prospects.

Zero tolerance of harassment of any type at the work place.

The return to fairness where rules, criteria and decisions are written, transparently announced and followed.

A move to a culture based on professionalism and ethical decisions in the field of human resources.

The effort to create a new frame of reference that encourages debate, collaboration and fair competition.

The proper defence of each official and his/her particular circumstances, not ready to sacrifice individuals with the excuse of the so-called "common good".

Straightforward negotiations without back-stage deals, co-opt and pacts that go against our mandate and damage collective interests.

Participation in "The Union" based on intellectual honesty, openness and transparency, rather than personal ambition and pursuit of carrier advancement.
