De VZW “Internationale Koorwedstrijd van Vlaanderen-Maasmechelen” en het Gemeentebestuur van Maasmechelen organiseren voor de twaalfde keer de tweejaarlijkse “Internationale Koorwedstrijd van Vlaanderen-Maasmechelen”.
De Vlaamse Gemeenschap, de Provincie Limburg en de organisatie voor vocale muziek ‘Koor&Stem’ steunen deze grootse onderneming.

Er worden maximum 12 koren geselecteerd. De Internationale Koorwedstrijd van Vlaanderen-Maasmechelen zal de culturele uitwisseling en het contact tussen de deelnemende koren stimuleren.

Deze gebeurtenis vindt plaats in het landelijke en gastvrije Maasmechelen, gelegen aan de Maas in het Noord-Oosten van België, dicht bij het drielandenpunt met Nederland en Duitsland, en dicht bij de steden Luik, Aken, Maastricht. Maasmechelen is gemakkelijk bereikbaar via een uitgewerkt net van autowegen.

Choir contest 2015

The 12th edition of the biennial “International Choir Contest of Flanders-Maasmechelen” is organised by The VZW “International Choir Contest of Flanders-Maasmechelen” and the Municipality of Maasmechelen.

This great event takes place with the support of The Flemish Government, the Province of Limburg and the organization for vocal music ‘Koor&Stem’.

A maximum of 12 choirs are selected. The promotion of cultural exchange and contact among the participating choirs is central to the vision of The International Choir Contest of Flanders-Maasmechelen.

This event takes place in the rural and hospitable Maasmechelen, situated on the Meuse in the north-east of Belgium, near to the Drielandenpunt with the Netherlands and Germany, and adjacent to the cities of Liege, Aachen and Maastricht.Maasmechelen is readily accessed by motorway.
