Info The EU office positions Varna at European level and promotes it as visitors and investments destination. Geschiedenis The EU office of Varna provides services for departments, offices and organisational units in the City, realises contacts with EU institutions and partners and does public relations work with focus on Varna. The EU Office is engaged with: Monitoring EU developments of relevance for Varna Advancing Varna's positions in EU decision-making processes Organising expert talks and lobby meetings with European institutions Establishing contacts with competent officials of European bodies Assisting groups of visitors and visiting experts Maintaining network connections, partnership search and obtaining EU funds for projects Managing the information flow from Varna to Brussels and viceversa Conducting investigations and analyses Moreover, the EU Office maintains contacts with the Committee of the Regions and the EUROCITIES network as well as with other bodies and networks of which the city is a member (on a case-to-case basis) and participates actively in the annual European Weeks of Regions and Cities ("Open Days"). The office welcomes groups of visitors and aims to organise special-interest and cultural events with a focus on Varna and maintains bilateral contacts in Belgium and Brussels. Офисът посреща групи посетители и организира специални събития по интереси с акцент върху Варна и поддържа двустранни контакти в Белгия и Брюксел.
