Geschiedenis
L'émission Europa (aussi nommée Europa - CEPT jusqu'en 1992) est une émission conjointe annuelle de timbres-poste sur une même illustration ou un même thème par les administrations postales membres des Communautés européennes (1956-1959), de la Conférence européenne des administrations des postes et télécommunications (CEPT, de 1960 à 1992), puis de l'association PostEurop depuis 1993.

Afin de promouvoir les émissions Europa auprès des philatélistes, PostEurop crée en 2002 un concours annuel du "meilleur timbre Europa".

The Europa issue (also known as Europa - CEPT until 1992) is an annual joint issue of stamps with a common design or theme by postal administrations member of the European Communities (1956-1959), the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT from 1960 to 1992), then the PostEurop Association since 1993.

In order to promote Europa issues among philatelists, PostEurop created in 2002 an annual competition of the “Best Europa stamp”.
