Geschiedenis
Be-cause health, the Belgian platform of international health, was founded in 2004. This informal and pluralistic platform brings together over 40 organisations and 200 individuals that are related to the Belgian cooperation in health: NGOs, academic institutions, BTC, DGD, organisations from the African diaspora, consultancy firms and individuals. Through seminars, workshops and technical working groups on various topics the rich experience of the Belgian cooperation in the field of international health care is being shared and valorised.

Be-cause health, het Belgische platform voor internationale gezondheid, werd opgericht in 2004. Dit informeel en pluralistisch platform verenigt meer dan 40 organisaties en 200 individuen die geëngageerd zijn in de Belgische ontwikkelingssamenwerking op gebied van gezondheidszorg: ngo’s, academische instellingen, BTC, DGD, organisaties van de Afrikaanse diaspora, studiebureaus en individuen. Door middel van seminaries, workshops en technische werkgroepen over verschillende thema’s worden de rijke ervaringen in de Belgische ontwikkelingssamenwerking op het terrein van internationale gezondheidszorg gedeeld en gevaloriseerd.

Be-cause health, la plate-forme belge pour la santé internationale, a été fondée en 2004. 
Cette plate-forme informelle et pluraliste fédère plus de 40 organisations et 200 personnalités en rapport avec  la coopération belge en matière de santé : ONG, institutions académiques, CTB, DGD, organisations de la diaspora africaine, bureaux de consultance et individus.  Les séminaires, les ateliers et les groupes de travail techniques axés sur différents thèmes permettent de partager la riche expérience de la coopération belge dans le domaine de la prise en charge sanitaire au plan international, et de la mettre  en valeur.
