Trendy design vintage-inspired furniture, made the old fashioned way.

Geschiedenis
The name "atom58" refers to the atomium building specialy designed for the world exhibition of 1958, Brussels Belgium. Also known as EXPO 58. 
The founder of atom58.com is a Belgian artist and designer with a passion for vintage furniture and mid -century design, arts , architecture and post war interiors. 
He started the company when he discovered that many of his customers were looking for nice vintage furniture but were unable to find them. Sometimes the desired furniture pieces were far too expensive or the dimensions did not fit the interiors or the materials, details or colors were off. 
Atom58 started making vintage inspired high quality furniture the same way as they where produced 50-60 years ago.
No mass production, but small batches of exclusive detailed furniture pieces.
We make furniture with respect for the vintage era and use available materials and techniques representing the time spirit of these wonderful years.
Most of our solid wooden materials are reclaimed 100 years+ old Javanese wooden construction beams. We use solid reclaimed Teak beams, Rosewood or Acacia beams.  
All new wood or wooden panels we use are Indonesian certified wood. We don't only care about the past also the future needs to be preserved. This is why all of our furniture is eco-friendly. .
