Geschiedenis
Gillis is een nieuw gastronomisch concept, het allereerste keurvlees-restaurant in Gent, en werd vernoemd naar Gillis De Suttere, de bouwmeester van het Gents Groot Vleeshuis (anno 1419).
Gillis staat voor volop genieten van vlees. Onze specialiteit is entrecôte puur, met een keuze aan verschillende soorten rassen, elk met hun eigen specifieke smaak. 
De suggestiekaart voorziet tevens enkele vis- en vegetarische gerechten, alsook kindergerechten en desserts.

Gillis is a new gastronomic concept, the first restaurant that offers the highest graded selection of beef in Ghent. It lends its name from Gillis De Suttere, who redesigned the famous Great Butchers' Hall (located in the heart of the city) back in 1419. 
Gillis stands for enjoying meat to the fullest! Our specialty is 'entrecôte pure' (some of the finest cuts of sirloin), with a choice of different breeds, each with their own distinct flavor.
The suggestion menu also provides fish and vegetarian dishes, as well as children's dishes and desserts.
