Welcome to DreamCATchers, cat adoption café! We’re a non-profit dedicated to finding loving homes for adult shelter cats.

Our organization was founded in 2016 by Lana Bauwens and Evelyne Vandenberghe.

If you’re planning on visiting us, here is some info to help you and the cats have an enjoyable experience.

The Cat Living room:

- We have between 5 - 10 free roaming cats who are available for adoption. You can visit with them whether you're adopting or just looking for some quality cat time. Most of our cats come from our local shelter or other rescue organisations in Ghent. When cats are adopted through DreamCATchers, it means we can get another cat out of a shelter cage and ready to find their new family.

- We allow a maximum of 14 people to enter. This is to help limit the stress and over stimulation of our four legged friends.

- Walk-ins are welcome to enter, but we highly recommend that you make a reservation online at http://wearedreamcatchers.be/cat-cafe/reserveren/ , especially on weekends! This will ensure your visiting time is available. We ask an entrance fee of 3 euro a person. This way you support our cause to help save as many cats as we can.

- You are welcome to bring books or toys to the café, but please don’t bring your own cat!

- Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you have about cats, adoptions, our organization, and cat related things.

General Info:

- Cats sleep a lot. They also hide a lot. This is natural and healthy. Our cats meet up to 100 people a day, 4 days a week. If you’re itching for play time, we recommend coming early for the 10AM and 11AM hours, or in the evening for the 4.30PM hour, when the cats are most active.

- We are dedicated to the safety and well-being of our cats. Their comfort and safety is our first priority.

- We serve local coffee and pastries in our cafe, as well as homemade drinks. We try to use organic and local ingredients. We are also vegan friendly ;-)

- We are closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays to acclimate new cats to the space and give our current residents some much deserved rest.
