Info
Christa Maria, Belgium’s widely acclaimed contemporary jewellery designer, lives and works in Brussels.
Geschiedenis
Christa Reniers first studied Art History, but found the purely academic approach to beauty unsatisfactory. Although she had no formal training as a jewellery designer, she began experimenting with synthetic clay and polyester but soon became fascinated with the sensational qualities of precious metals. Today she works only in sterling silver and 18 carat white and yellow gold. Over the years she has developed an extraordinary capacity to create designs inspired by natural, organic shapes, translating them into pure, sculptural forms.
