CarsOnTheWeb organizes online auctions in order to sell end-of-live leasing vehicles, commercial vehicles and stock cars from leasing companies, fleet owners and car rental companies. This qualifies CarsOnTheWeb as an operator in the vehicle remarketing market. The selection of new and used vehicles includes passenger cars, vans and light trucks, damaged cars and wrecks of all makes and models.

CarsOnTheWeb organized its first online auctions in Belgium in December 2004. The company subsequently launched auction sites in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and The Netherlands. With a customer base of 30,000 registered buyers in approximately 50 countries, CarsOnTheWeb has grown into one of the top three online car auctions in Europe.

The basic proposition of CarsOnTheWeb is to bypass the multiple layers of middlemen typically found in the used vehicle remarketing industry, and to minimize distance between buyers and sellers. Less middle-man margins result in a lower purchase price for buyers and a higher selling price for suppliers. Today, CarsOnTheWeb’s main objective is to sell the latest used vehicles at the fairest price.

CarsOnTheWeb offers full logistical and administrative support to customers and sourcing partners. Thanks to an international transportation network, CarsOnTheWeb provides Pan-European transport at attractive, fixed prices with short delivery times which customers may consult in real time online. A large part of the auctioned vehicles are intended for export.
