We are a local Gamestore that specialises in Boardgames and Wargames as well as Cardgames and Miniatures.

Geschiedenis

Growing from my life-time hobby, I started a gaming company early 2015, starting out as a boardgamegeek trader and adding a website after 3 months (www.boardgamegeneral.eu).

As we quickly grew it became apparent that our customers wanted us to open a brick-and-mortar store soon. This put us in a dilemma as market surveys showed clearly that opening a store in a main-street area was going to be hard to keep profitable. This went straight against our policy: 'This has to be about People and Games, not about money'.

We decided to go for a best of breeds solution, opening a 70m² bric-and-mortar store filled with your favorite games BUT not a main-street (because of parking issues and high rent). We listened carefully to our customers and their voice was clear: the shop needs to be open in the weekend and in evening, when we are not working or at school.

So we followed up on that, always careful to stick to our policy that it should remain a store 'about People and Games, not about money'.

3 years later we have become an established store with sale points in our Brick-and-Mortar store, our website and Boardgamegeek.

So...what does the future hold for us?

We have listened to our customer again and we have followed up on their suggestions:

- A dedicated email address for customer support: cs.boardgamegeneral.eu to allow a better follow-up of questions

- an improved presence on facebook with events, lotteries, and special promotions. Active since half Novmeber now!

-A quicker shipping option. We are working on that as we speak.
