Belgian National Orchestra official page
For 75 years the Belgian National Orchestra has been performing symphony music from past and present. Current musical director Andrey Boreyko is bringing to the orchestra his strength and many emotions. The original programming attracts a wide public to concert halls in Belgium and abroad, but principally to the prestigious Henry Le Bœuf Hall at the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels where the orchestra proposes its own series of concerts in cooperation with BOZAR MUSIC. Once again this season the orchestra will be accompanying world-famous artists such as Bryn Terfel, Roberto Alagna, Anna Netrebko, Hélène Grimaud, Vadim Repin and Gidon Kremer. At the same time, a strong bond is developing between the Belgian National Orchestra and young, promising musicians, in large measure thanks to cooperation with the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and the Queen Elisabeth Competition. The NOB has a number of award-winning CDs to its name and has toured in Japan, Spain, Switzerland and - just recently and to great critical acclaim - in Germany and Central Europe. On such a basis, the NOB can look forward to further developing its already impressive international reputation.
