Geschiedenis

Basalte was founded in 2008 in Ghent, Belgium. In only a few years Basalte has built a product range which is now distributed in about 50 different countries worldwide. When designing products, Basalte looks for an emotional connection. The products should not only look or feel good, they should also be great fun to use. Basalte is constantly striving towards innovation and quality in design. Simplicity and user friendliness, combined with high quality and good design are keywords in the Basalte approach which makes the company stand out in the market.

The use of high quality materials and the strong design have resulted in a timeless and exclusive product range and concept. It consists of unique design switches and a room controller with an integrated temperature sensor as well as a miniature motion detector. All products have been designed in line with the international KNX standard for home automation systems. In addition, Basalte launched EVE, the ultimate iPad frame and recently developed a first high-end multi-room audio system.
