‘Asante Mama’ means ‘Thank you Mama’ in Swahili! Asante Mama is a brand of Sunshine Agro Products Ltd - a Ugandan Social Enterprise founded in 2007 by Pamela Anyoti Peronaci. Pamela’s passion about promoting innovative and sustainable agriculture practices that can help lift small scale poor farmers out of poverty is so great that she has been talking to anyone who cares to listen.
The aim of Asante Mama brand is to bring sustainably produced products from ‘farm to table’. Asante Mama’s Herbal Teas, culinary herbs and spices are grown following practices that keep the environment healthy. These products are natural, hand harvested and hand packed. They guarantee over 7,000 farm families better incomes and better access to education, health and social services - making Asante Mama an ethical and equitable brand of your choice.
