Arboretum Wespelaar grows trees and shrubs from the temperate regions of the world and is well known for its collection of Acer, Magnolia and Rhododendron.
Arboretum Wespelaar is well known for its extensive collections of Acer, Magnolia and Rhododendron, as well as some less familiar genera such as Clethra, Franklinia, Lindera, Malus, Stewartia, etc.. The collections have been planted throughout the 20 hectare of the Arboretum.
Botanical explorations around the world resulted in the introduction of many plants from known wild provenance. Of the 2000 different taxa (species and varieties) represented in the collections, 169 appear on the Red List of threatened plants.
OPENING HOURS:
Arboretum Wespelaar is open to the public from April 1 to November 15 on Wednesday and Sunday from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
ENTRANCE FEES:
- Adults and children over 12 years: € 5
- Children under 12 but accompanied by an adult: free
- Annual ticket for families: € 30
GUIDED TOURS:
- € 50 per guide + entrance fee of € 5 per person (maximum 25 participants). Please enquire well in advance as to the availability of a guide, via [email protected]
