Geschiedenis

Every print or pattern in the Akaso collection is a true reproduction of a body painting design created by a Kara tribe artist in Ethiopia.

The Akaso founder travelled with two awarded Belgian designers to Ethiopia and let them co-create with six young Kara tribe artists.

The Kara tribe are of of Africa's most authentic tribes and have seen the world's most famous photographers and documentary makers. Because of their unique abstract body painting art.

The Akaso founder is also father of two Ethiopian born daughters.
With Akaso he intends to invite Africa's untapped creative talent to the design table. Paying them fair free lance designer fees.
